Metrorail Ready To Take You To The Stadium And Back During The 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup

Metrorail Gauteng, A division of Prasa – With the successful hosting of scores of rugby fans during the rugby semi-finals and final games held at Orlando Stadium a few weeks ago, Metrorial is ready to transport the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup ticket holders, free of charge, starting with the opening match set to take place at Soccer City on 11 June 2010.

Valid game ticket holders will be able to use Metrorail train services to get to the stadiums as well as our secure parking facilities at Park Station which are accessible from Rissik Street. The boarding of our special 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup trains will take place on platform 11 and 12 at Park Station with passengers dropped-off at our newly refurbished Nasrec Station situated within 5 minutes from Soccer City.

Train route and departure schedule information – OPENING MATCH, 11 JUNE 2010:

The average departure times will be from 12:00 with average arrival times at approximately 2 and half hours before the start of the game.

1. Vereeniging – Nasrec – Vereening corridor/route:
   • A train will depart from Vereening Station at 12:40, with stopping stations, arriving at Nasrec Station at 14:30. The departure from Nasrec Station will be at 18:35, with stopping stations, and arrive at Vereeniging at 20:25.
2. Naledi – Nasrec – Naledi:
   • A train will depart from Naledi Station at 12:25, with stopping stations, arriving at Nasrec Station at 13:10. The departure from Nasrec Station will be at 19:10, with stopping stations, and arrive in Naledi at 19:55.
3. Leralla – Nasrec – Leralla:
   • A train will depart from Leralla Station at 11:45, with stopping stations, arriving at Nasrec Station at 13:33. The departure from Nasrec Station will be at 19:05, with stopping stations, and arrive at Leralla station at 20:23.
4. Daveyton – Nasrec – Daveyton:
   • A train will depart from Daveyton Station at 12:25, with stopping Stations, arriving at Nasrec Station at 14:00. The departure from Nasrec Station will be at 18:45, with stopping stations, arriving at Daveyton Station at 20:20.
5. Kwesine – Nasrec - Kwesine:
   • A train will depart Kwesine from Kwesine Station at 12:15, with stopping stations, arriving at Nasrec Station at 13:26. The departure from Nasrec Station will be at 19:00, with stopping stations, arriving at Kwesine Station at 20:11.
6. Springs – Nasrec – Springs:
   • A train will depart from Springs Station at 11:55, with stopping Stations, arriving at Nasrec Station at 13:40. Departure from Nasrec Station will be 18:50, with stopping stations, arriving at Springs Station at 20:35.
7. Randfontein – Nasrec – Randfontein:
   • A train will depart Randfontein Station at 12:21, with stopping station, arriving at Nasrec Station at 13:50. Departure from Nasrec Station will be at 18:55, with stopping stations, arriving at Randfontein Station at 20:24.
8. Dewilt – Pretoria North – Dewilt (connecting train):
   • A connecting train will depart Dewilt Station at 12:00, with stopping stations, arriving at Pretoria North at 12:25 for a connecting train departing for Nasrec Station, leaving at 12:30 and arriving at 14:31.
9. Mabopane – Nasrec – Mabopane:
   • A train will depart Mabopane Station, with stopping stations, arriving at Nasrec Station at 13:30. Departure from Nasrec Station will be at 18:30, with stopping Stations, arriving at Mabopane Station at 20:45.
10. Pienaarspoort – Nasrec – Pienaarspoort:
    • A train will depart Pienaarspoort Station at 11:29, with stopping stations, arriving at Nasrec Station at 14:12. Departure from Nasrec Station will be at 18:40, with stopping stations, arriving at Pienaarspoort Station at 21:20.
11. Johannesburg – Nasrec – Johannesburg/Westgate Nasrec - Westgate:
    • 2 trains will depart from Johannesburg Park Station:
    • First train departure 12:00 arriving at Nasrec Station at 12:39
    • The second departure 14:10 arriving at Nasrec Station 14:49
    • There will be shuttle services running between Westgate and Nasrec Stations
