PRASA and Transnet Leadership in Talks for Long-Term Solutions

The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) and Transnet leadership are currently engaged in talks to find long-term and lasting solutions to the current impasse.

In the meantime, PRASA has started maintaining its own locomotives at the various rolling stock depots in order to immediately resume servicing its customers. So far, the Johannesburg to Cape Town long distance service has resumed its operations along with Johannesburg to Durban.

Our customers will be kept informed all the time as and when further travelling routes are re-opened. Prasa sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused to all its customers
