Board Chairperson

Sfiso Buthelezi is the Chairman of Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) since 2009. He was appointed to the Board of South Africa Rail Commuter Corporation (SARCC), a precursor to PRASA in 2005. He holds several Board Chairmanships, amongst them, Autshumatu Investments, Sihayo Investments (PTY) LTD and Sihayo Technologies (PTY) LTD .

He is also a non – executive director in other companies, including, Makana Financial Services, Heart FM 104 and Igagasi FM. Sfiso is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Makana Investment Corporation, a position he has held since leaving his previous employment as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Gambling Board.

Sfiso is also an ex-political prisoner who served term in Robben Island for underground ANC & MK Activities.
