Rolling Stock Fleet Renewal Programme

Request for Proposal Information – 19 April 2012

The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) is proud to announce the following information on the Request for Proposal document for the manufacturing of new rolling stock:

1. Information on the RFP document will be available on Sunday, 22 April 2012 in the Sunday papers and the PRASA website, www.prasa.com.
2. The RFP document will be available upon receipt of the bid fee of R20,000.00 which must be deposited into the PRASA Cheque Account:

   The reference will be the bidder’s name and the following sequence: HO/EPMO/247/04/2012.
3. The RFP documents will be available for collection from the following address:
   PRASA House, Ground Floor, 1040 Burnett Street, Hatfield, Pretoria.
4. The documents will be available from Tuesday, 24th April until Monday, 7 May 2012 from 9am to 4pm. Potential bidders are advised to produce proof of payment in order to collect the information.
5. A compulsory briefing session will be held with bidders who have purchased the RFP documents on Wednesday, 9th May at 10am in Johannesburg. The venue details will be listed in the RFP document package.
6. The closing date for submission of bid proposals is 10th September 2012 at 4pm.
