Mr. Matodzi Mukhuba

 

Mr. Matodzi Mukhuba brings solid Rail Industry, Railway Operations, and Rail Manufacturing Knowledge.

A Mechanical Engineer by profession, Mukhuba holds a B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Degree, a Post Graduate Business Administration degree, and certificates in Project Management and Business Management.

 

Mukhuba has been instrumental as a railway expert in a number of significant rail projects including the Gautrain South Africa project, Transnet acquisitions of locomotives, and PRASA Rolling Stock.

 

He is currently the CEO of his own company, MMND Engineering, where he manages the everyday operations of the business.  His career highlights also include being the Performance Operations Manager at his long-term employer Alstom for the Gibela Project in South Africa, which was the biggest single rail rolling stock project in the world.

 

Matodzi joined Alstom in May 2014 as Regional Services Manager, worked in several positions within the company. In 2019, Matodzi was nominated Project Mobilisation Manager to lead the mobilisation phase of the New PRASA Trains; Ensure that Trains are delivered safely and support PRASA for its depot modernisation programme.
 
Within the rail industry, Mukhuba has served as the Technical Advisor at General Electric on C30ACi Locomotive, which is the first AC diesel-electric locomotive to be introduced to sub-Saharan Africa. He was also involved in the Gauteng Project in South Africa as a Performance Analyst.

 

Mukhuba has acquired considerable international experience in management, operations and technical skills on rolling stock in rail industry in France, United Kingdom, Brazil and USA.
